This is not just another reception. It is a shared moment within the 37th ISME World Conference where our global community pauses to recognize the power of music education — and turns that recognition into direct support for music education across Canada.
Set in Montréal, one of the world’s great cultural cities, the Toast will bring together educators, researchers, artists, and partners for an evening that feels both intimate and significant.

Featuring Tenille Townes
The evening will feature a special musical contribution by award-winning Canadian artist Tenille Townes, one of Canada’s most respected contemporary voices. Known for her powerful songwriting and commitment to meaningful storytelling, her presence elevates the evening and reflects the transformative impact music education can have on a life and a community.

Canadian Music Educators’ Association (CMEA)
Supporting professional development across provincial conferences, strengthening connections among educators from coast to coast to coast, and advancing music education research nationwide.
Coalition for Music Education Canada
Advocating to protect, strengthen, and expand music education in schools — ensuring every Canadian student has access to meaningful music learning.
FAMEQ (Fédération des associations de musiciens éducateurs du Québec)
Supporting professional development, research initiatives, and musical events serving educators and students throughout Québec.
By attending, participants help ensure that ISME’s presence in Montréal leaves a meaningful and lasting local legacy.
