L’Orchestre de la francophonie is an international training orchestra for musicians who are near the end of their education as musicians, or are already finished and taking their next steps into the professional ranks. This year about half the musicians are Canadian. 

Rehearsals and the majority of communication is conducted in french. The OF creates and participates in community events, including workshops with Dans la rue, Garage à Musique, and offers a series of concerts in various venues across the city. The final concert of this season is August 2 at the Maison Symphonique.

This performance traces a symbolic journey from the roots of Thai music to the global stage. Combining the 
distinctive sound of the Ranat Ek (Thai Xylophones), contemporary musical elements, and Thai dance, it celebrates 
cultural diversity, mutual understanding, and harmony among people from around the world.
