Registration

Conference fees for 2024 are structured to take into account the purchasing power (PPP) of the delegates country of residence. Fees are shown as HIGH for High PPP countries (where purchasing power is greatest) and LOW for Low PPP countries. A list of the countries where the LOW PPP fees apply follows for both FULL and STUDENT registrations.

The deadline for Regular registration is May 15th and for Late registration July 10th, 2024 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

Please note that in order to register you need to have a valid ISME membership. Memberships of registered delegates will be checked.

Registration fees include the following

  • 5 days conference sessions including opening/closing ceremony
  • Concerts on 3 days after conference hours
  • Conference materials and name badge

Accompanying persons' fee includes a half day tour to Porvoo.

An accompanying person may only attend in association with a delegate.

Tours will be available when the preliminary scientific program is published. All registered delegates will receive a notification with a link to book tours.

One and two day ISME Experience for non-members

We want to provide non-ISME members with an opportunity to connect with ISME members and have a conference experience.

When registering for a one or two day ISME Experience, please note that:

  • The rates are for non-members only
  • The rates are for non-presenters
  • It is not possible to change a registration already made to a ISME Experience registration *
  • These rates are limited to a maximum of two days. Should you wish to participate in more than two days, you should purchase a membership (see: https://www.isme.org/) and register for the entire conference. 

*ISME, as an institution, needs to ensure member attendance at its activities as we provide certificates of completion and compliance to their respective institutions as well as for visa purposes. In order to ensure compliance, an ISME member that benefits from this validation from the host institution as well as ISME need to ensure their participation to the fullest extent possible. 

Cancellation policy for registrations

  • Full refund (less EUR 50 administration fee) for cancellations received by or on May 15th, 2024 
  • No refunds can be made for cancellations received after May 15th, 2024

There will be no refund for no-shows. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle a participant to any refunds.

All changes and cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Office at isme2024@confedent.fi

Insurance

The Conference organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to ISME 2024 participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Conference. Please check the validity of your own travel insurance.

The organizers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such a case, the organizing committee will decide upon refunding of paid registration fees.
