As extended musical interpretation/analyses of the original (written, composed) score, musicians learn multi-facet expression bridging the score (composer’s intention) to both collaborators of other fields and audience. Musicians-led mixed performance is an “ensemble with other art forms” that musicians take a leadership of performance creation. The project Avec Le Balcon at Tokyo University of the Arts now works on developing a new “etude” for music students at higher education level for interpretation and collaboration with other genre artists, such as dancers and actors, supported by the French musicians collective “Le Balcon.”
